About This Recipe

This is the perfect summery soap to gently exfoliate the skin and help your body’s butter and body oils soak in deeper, leaving your skin softer and more hydrated.

If you are too busy or intimidated to make cold process soap, melt and pour is a great alternative. It is still much cleaner than many store bought soaps, which often have harsher chemicals and fragrances, and you can customize to make it exactly what you need.

Exfoliating and Smooth

Ingredients

  • 6oz Goat Milk melt and pour soap

  • 2 tbs Dandelion Oil

  • 2 tbs Oats

  • 2 tbs Chia Seeds

  • 10 drops Lime Essential Oil

  • 10 drops Geranium Essential Oil

Summer Breeze Essential Oils; Geranium & Lime

Directions

  1. Cut the soap into small cubes for easier melting. Melt the soap gently over a double boiler, stirring often.

  2. Once melted, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. Add in the dandelion oil, the chia seeds, the oats and the essential oils, stir well to combine and break up any chunks.

  4. If you pour this too hot then your exfoliants will all sink to the bottom of the soap (which is the top when you pop out of the mold) so wait until it is starting to thicken and then work quickly to pour into the molds.

  5. Spray with rubbing alcohol to remove any bubbles.

  6. Let sit until hardened. Store in an airtight container.

To Use

Use this soap to gently exfoliate skin, it is especially great for elbows, knees, feet and backs of arms. Don’t use it to exfoliate the delicate skin of your face, it's too rough for those sweet cheeks but using on your other cheeks is just fine.
