About This Recipe

A refreshing face and body mist, like a cooling summer breeze that refreshes, cools, and hydrates skin. This is great to have on hand during summer as it helps to cool skin that is overheated or slightly sun kisssed. 

It's stored in the fridge which adds to the cooling and calming effect of the chamomile and lavender. It also makes a soothing mist for hydrating the skin before following with your favorite face oil to seal in the mositure.

Chamomile and Lavender Hydrosol

Ingredients

  • ⅛ cup lavender hydrosol
  • ⅛ cup chamomile hydrosol
  • 2 drops Vit E (optional)
  • 1 tsp aloe vera
  • ¼ tsp Vegetable Glycerine
  • 2 drops lavender essential oil
Refreshing & Light 

Directions

  1. Mix the essential oils and vit e with the glycerine in a measuring
    cup.
  2. Then add in the chamomile, lavender hydrosols and aloe vera.
  3.  Pour into a 2oz glass spray bottle.
  4. Add a label with date and ingredients. Store in the fridge and use within 1-2 weeks.

Notes 

  • You can substitute the chamomile hydrosol with lavender hydrosol, but the chamomile is so soothing for skin. 

  • You can also make a larger batch and freeze into ice cubes that can be pulled out when need more.

To Use

  • This feels so good on skin that is overheated and hot. Its cooling and comforting, the lavender and chamomile help to cool and calm the skin.

  • Or after cleansing use as a face mist to hydrate skin before following with face oil or face butter to seal in the moisture.

  • Store in the fridge and use within 1-2 weeks.
