Tallow Whipped Balm

Tallow Whipped Balm

Whipped tallow balm really is as good as they say it is. And it can smell good too (recipe below).
I was on the tallow balm fence for years. I didn’t like the smell (and I love my shea face butters) but I came up with an essential oil blend that works well with it and you know, my picky, sensitive, rosacea spots are soothed and happy.
I’m actually kind of shocked how much it’s helped, WOW, it’s not just hype, it works really well at soothing irritated skin.
And the rest of my face is glowy too (I’m not gonna show you though, I’m way too shy for that )
Tallow is compatible with our skin and has a similar make up of essential fatty acids.
-It soaks in amazingly quickly
-It keeps your skin moisturized all through the night.
-It’s incredibly soothing to irritated skin conditions (think rashes, red skin, itchy conditions, eczema ect)
-It’s deeply moisturizing for mature skin and dry skin as well
-And it’s loaded with skin loving vitamins, like A, E, D and K and antioxidants that skin drinks up.
If you make it, make sure you get a high quality tallow from healthy grass fed and organic cows to avoid toxins but also because the tallow will be higher in all those skin loving nutrients.
Ingredients <3
½ cup Tallow (3.5 ounces)
2 tbs Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Essential Oils
6 drops Lavender
5 drops Geranium
2 drops Chamomile
2 drops Frankincense
2 drops Ylang Ylang
Directions <3
Gently melt the tallow and evoo in a double boiler over low heat.
Remove from heat and let it come to room temperature. Once the tallow balm is solid add in the essential oils and whip until fluffy.
It’s really that easy. It is so deeply hydrating for dry skin, soothing for irritated skin conditions and nutrient packed for all skin.
It is going to leave you glowing.
I put part of it in a 2 ounce jar and the rest I store in a pint size mason jar in the fridge, it has a long shelf life, but might as well keep it as fresh as possible.
Enjoy ❤️
