About This Recipe

Making your own skincare is a lot like making your own food.

It’s fresh and because it's fresh it doesn’t have a lot of extra added ingredients to preserve it from spoilage or to help extend freshness or improve texture or enhance flavor.

Which leaves room for more goodness to put on your skin. And as you make the recipe and get to know the recipe you can add more or less of what you love, of what you need.

So with this Floral Face Wash, leave out the essential oils if you don't like them. Or just use lavender essential oil or just orange essential oil. Or if you don’t like glycerine leave it out, although it does add moisture and mellows out the castile soap, it adds a softening effect to the whole recipe and to your sweet cheeks.

Simple and Fresh

Ingredients

Directions

  1. First add the castle soap to your pump bottle or mixing bowl.

  2. Add in the essential oils and the vegetable glycerine.

  3. Give this a good stir to combine the essential oils into the soap and the glycerine.

  4. Once combined then add in the Rose Hydrosol.

  5. Stir or shake to make sure all the ingredients are fully mixed.

Tips for Success

  • If you are too busy or intimidated to make cold process soap, melt and pour is a great alternative. It is still much cleaner than many store bought soaps, which often have harsher chemicals and fragrances, and you can customize to make it exactly what you need.

To Use

Using warm water, gently wet your face. Then place 1-2 dropper fulls of soap into the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together to make a little suds and then gently wash your face avoiding the eye area.

Rinse clean with warm water and pat dry. Follow with toner and a moisturizing face oil like The Calming Face Oil or Wild Beauty Face Oil to seal in moisture and nourish skin.
