About This Recipe

I love a good honey mask. Sometimes it's simply raw organic honey all by itself, working its magic to leave skin soft and hydrated. Sometimes it's honey mixed with colloidal oatmeal for an extra soothing effect, or mixed with kaolin clay for its mild cleansing and gentle ability to draw impurities from the skin.

But as summer rolls around, it's nice to add a little more nutrients to the mix with recipes that cool, calm and hydrate. Skin is often more exposed in the summer. The days are longer, the sun is brighter, and we spend more time outside in the elements, so our skin needs a little extra love.

This berry good glow mask does just that. Honey is combined with raspberry powder and rose powder for extra antioxidants and skin nourishment, plus just a dash of vegetable glycerine to draw in and seal in moisture. This mask leaves you soft and glowing.

Notes

  • For an extra brightening and gently exfoliating mask, whisk 1 tablespoon of the mask with 1 tablespoon of plain whole milk yogurt. Make this version fresh and use it right away.
  • Keep water out of the jar. Always scoop with clean, dry fingers or a small spoon.

To Use

  • After cleansing your face, scoop a small amount onto your fingertips and spread evenly over your entire face.
  • Leave on for about 10 minutes, then rinse clean with warm water.
  • Follow with a face mist and your favorite moisturizer or face oil.
