Face and body mists are a wonderful addition to a skincare routine, especially if you use face oils or face creams. Face oils and face creams contain no water and water is an essential part of keeping skin hydrated.
Face oils and face creams partly work by sealing in the hydration that is already in the skin, so they work so much better when they are applied to skin that has moisture already on it, and using a face mist is a great way to do this.
This summer hydration can be used all year but is also particularly great for cooling and hydrated over heated or slightly sunkissed skin.
For most magical results;
After cleansing your face, follow with a few sprays of the summer hydration mist and then a few drops of the dew drop serum and/or your favorite face oil.
Spritz over body and follow with body butter.
Spray on face anytime skin is feeling overheated or for a mid day hydration boost.
Gently spray on sun kissed skin to help cool and relieve mild sunburns. If skin is sunburned, cooling it down quickly and repeatedly with lots of misting is a good way to stop the burn, to slow it down and cool it down. The aloe vera gel and the lavender hydrosol in this recipe is great for adding cooling, healing and hydration, helping skin to recover faster.
