Fire Cider Recipe

I change this a little each time I make it. Sometimes I use a red onion, sometimes I leave out the horseradish if I don't have or can't find it in the store, or maybe I will use a lime as well as lemon. But here is a basic recipe.

Fire Cider Recipe

One medium onion

10 cloves organic garlic, chopped or sliced

2 organic jalepenos chopped

Zest and juice of one lemon

Zest and juice of one orange

½ cup chopped or grated ginger root

½ cup of fresh grated horseradish (if you can find in stores)

1 tbs turmeric powder

1/4tsp cayenne powder

Couple springs rosemary, oregano, thyme and sage

Organic raw apple cider vinegar

Raw honey

  1. Fill a clean, glass jar gallon sized mason jar with everything but the honey.

  2. Cover everything with raw apple cider vinegar, make sure everything is fully submerged in apple cider vinegar.

  3. Use a plastic lid or lid lined with parchment to seal the jar.

  4. Let sit in a cool, dark cabinet for 4 weeks.

  5. After 4 weeks strain through cheesecloth into a clean glass jar.
