Deordorant Recipe

Deordorant Recipe

This deodorant stick is made without baking soda. Baking soda is great for neutralizing odor but sometimes it is irritating for sensitive skin, so this one is made with arrowroot powder and kaolin clay which help to deodorize and to absorb extra moisture.

I’ve included a couple different essential oil combos below the recipe.

🍃Deodorant Stick Recipe

2oz coconut oil

3 oz shea butter

2oz beeswax

2tbs arrowroot

2 tsp kaolin clay

This fills four 2.5oz pushup tubes.

Great for sensitive skin, but works with all skin types.

Shelf Life 12 months

Directions

  1. Melt the coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax in a double boiler.

  2. Once melted remove from heat and add the arrowroot and kaolin clay. Keep stirring and whisking until all the clumps are gone and everything is fully incorporated.

  3. Pour into the tubes in small increments, this helps avoid the little sink hole in the middle.

Because they are paper tubes, they show stains/oil spots. You wrap some packing tape around it to keep it clean and prevent the tube from staining.

And the tubes are compostable, just remove the tape first (if you used any) 🌎🍃🌲
