Add this to your skincare ritual routine for clear, glowing skin, its easy and it works wonders on your sweet cheeks.
Honey is slightly enzymatic (exfoliating), cleansing, and deeply hydrating. Rosehips are a good source of vit c, which can be lightening & brightening for skin. Together they create a blend that is both cleansing, hydrating, soothing, and brightening for skin.
Honey & Rosehip Mask Recipe
2 tsps Rosehip powder (you can powder your own)
¼ cup Raw Honey
1 tsp Rosehip Seed Oil
2 drops Vitamin E Oil
Combine all the ingredients together and mix thoroughly, make sure to mix well. Get all the rosehip powder incorporated into the honey.
I like to make this in the 2oz container I will be storing it in, but you can mix in a bowl or measuring cup and then pour into your jar. But this is a small recipe and you’ll lose less product if you mix it right in the container you plan on storing it in.
Let the rosehip powder, rosehip oil and honey infuse together for a week in a warm dark place, this infuses the herby goodness of the rosehips fully into the honey. You can use it right away but letting the rosehips infuse and rosehip oil fully infuse into the honey full makes a more plant potent mask.
At the end of a week or so, your mask will be ready to use.
After washing your face, using a clean spoon, take a scoop of your Honey and Rosehip Mask and gently massage over your face. After 15min or so rinse clean with warm water, it helps to use a soft cloth to gently wipe the honey off. Follow with your favorite toner and face oil or moisturizer.
For best results use once a week, but all skin is different so find your skin’s happy place. And always do a test patch with ‘new to you’ ingredients to check for skin allergies and skin sensitivities.
If you keep your honey mask free of water and store it properly (in a clean jar with a tight fitting lid) it will stay fresh long before you use it all. For best freshness within 4-6 weeks.
Enjoy! And as always, ask me any questions and tell me about typos, please and thank you :)
