Flower Face Toner Recipe

Flower Face Toner Recipe

Face toners and face essences are easy to make at home and they can be tailored to fit your skin and what it may be needing. Using them after cleansing preps the skin with added moisture and planty goodness, helping your skin’s pH to balance and readying it for moisturizer.

Making them at home also eliminates many of the other preservatives and fragrances that are found in them when you buy them at the store.

This recipe is sort of a one size fits all skin types using roses, calendula, and chamomile to nurture, balance, and prep the skin for moisturizer.

Flower Face Toner Recipe

1 cup boiled water

1 heaping tablespoon of rose, calendula, and chamomile blend

(or 1 tsp each)

½ tsp vegetable glycerin

1 ounce spray bottle

Strainer

Ice cube trays (for freezing leftovers)

Measure the dried roses, calendula, and chamomile into a heatproof glass jar and pour one cup of just boiled water over the herbs.

Let this steep for 5 minutes and then strain into a clean glass jar with a lid. Add ½ teaspoon of vegetable glycerine and stir or shake to combine.

Once it's cooled pour into a one ounce spray bottle to use a face a toner.

Store the one ounce spray bottle in the fridge and use within a week. Pour the rest into ice cube molds and let freeze, once frozen place in a baggie and remove from the freezer as needed to use as your toner.

To Use your Flower Face Toner

To use the face toner, spritz lightly on your face after cleansing and follow with moisturizer.

It can also be spritzed on your face anytime your skin needs a little refreshment.
